We're excited to introduce a fast, reliable way to spot and filter retracted publications right from your search. Research integrity underpins every confident decision, so this release makes it easy to find, inspect, and isolate retracted literature. You'll see a new Update Type search facet, badges on your search results, notice banners on publication detail pages, and new columns in your exports, all designed to give you clearer context on the status of the literature you're working with.

New Update Type Search Facet (only available with Dimensions Analytics access)

Pinpoint or exclude updated literature with precision. Sitting just below Document Type in the filters panel, the new Update Type facet lets you isolate publications that are Retracted or carry an Expression of Concern in a couple of clicks.

At-a-Glance Search Result Badging

Spot flagged literature the moment you browse your results. Retracted publications now carry a clear "Retracted" badge.

Publication Detail Banners

Get immediate context on a publication's status without leaving your workflow. Detail pages for articles with a Retraction notice or Expression of Concern now show a notice banner. Where available, it links to the notice and gives the reasons behind the Retraction or Expression of Concern, sourced from Retraction Watch.

Expanded Data Exports for Offline Analysis (only available with Dimensions Analytics access)

Carry status changes straight through into your analysis. Publication CSV and XLSX exports now include three new columns:

  • Retractions & Notices: whether the publication has a Retraction notice and/or Expression of Concern.

  • Retraction date: for any Retraction notice (dates for Expressions of Concern aren't included).

  • Retraction reasons: sourced from Retraction Watch (reasons for Expressions of Concern aren't included).

Log in and try it on your next search today. Clearer visibility into Retractions and Expressions of Concern means more context for the research decisions you make.
