Dimensions release notes - September 10th, 2025

We're excited to announce our latest platform updates! This release focuses on improving your workflow, updating crucial data, and enhancing your experience on mobile devices.

New and Improved Filtering

We've applied our new search design to all filters. This creates a more consistent and intuitive filtering experience across the platform. Pro Tip: You can now Shift + Click to quickly select a range of items in any filter list, making it faster than ever to narrow down your results.

Smarter Analytical Views Workflow

Your analytical work is now more seamless and uninterrupted. The Analytical Views panel will no longer close when you add an item to your search from within the panel. This allows you to build upon your search without losing your place or context in your analysis.

Updated RCDC Categorization

We have updated our Research, Condition, and Disease Categorization (RCDC) to align with the latest codes published by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2024. This ensures you are working with current reporting data. For more details on RCDC, please see the official NIH RCDC page.

Better Mobile Accessibility

We've made improvements to our mobile experience. The following pages are now fully accessible and easy to use on smaller screen devices: Favorites Page, Export Center, My Account Page

New Context Menu Linkout

To streamline your author screening process, we've added a new option to the researcher context menu. You can now go directly to the researcher profile in Dimensions' Author Check app from the Analytical Views.
Only available with access to the Author Check app.
