We're excited to announce significant enhancements to the Research Organization filter and underlying organizational data within Dimensions. These improvements are designed to make your research more comprehensive and efficient by expanding our organization database and improving data quality across all organization types.

Expanded Organization Database

• 390,000+ organizations indexed — 2.5x more than before 

• Better affiliation matching — Over 1.9 million previously unmatched affiliations resolved, with 2 million improved

• Enhanced coverage and data quality across company, academic, and government organizations

Company Organizations

• Enhanced granularity with more detailed child records for precise data analysis

• Updated company relationships to reflect: Recent mergers and acquisitions,

  Corporate divestments, Government ownership structures

Academic Institutions

• Improved university system organization for geographically distributed affiliated institutions

• Better representation of complex academic hierarchies and affiliations

Note: You may notice variations in search result counts for saved searches that include organizations in their definitions. In most cases, this is due to documents being reassigned to new organizations within the same organizational hierarchy as your original search filters.
